Google to Feature Images in Search Ads; Announces Google Shopping
Today Google announced plans to eat Amazon and Facebook for lunch.
At its marketing summit in San Francisco, Google rolled out plans for swipeable images in sponsored search ads (like on Facebook and Instagram), and a heavy duty Google Shopping platform, à la Amazon, where consumers can buy straight from the platform or a retailer’s website.
It will also gobble down an Instagram feature: Soon users will be able to buy items they see within Youtube videos.
So what does this mean for your business? It means being able to create a stronger, more instantaneous impression with users who don’t know your products.
But as with all search advertising, your product’s success depends on matching your audience’s expectations and interests. Serve them what they want and they’ll be coming to your lunch table.
